Our Trainer: Dr. Jörg Lackmann
Jörg Lackmann studied chemistry, focusing intensively on vacuum technology during his studies. After completing his phd-thesis, he spent 16 years working in industry, developing decontamination processes for vacuum pumps and their components – gaining an in-depth understanding of all the technical aspects. While working closely with Infraserv since 2002, he also lectured on vacuum technology as part of the microsystems engineering programme at OTH Regensburg. In 2023, he joined Infraserv as our training manager.Trainings
Format
Our training courses usually take place on two days from 8:15 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m.
However, on request, we are happy to tailor the times and content to your individual needs.

Our philosophy:
In this training unit, we focus on teaching the basics of vacuum technology. However, it is also important to us to respond to participants’ questions on an individual basis. We take a very practical approach to talk about the problems that they face in their companies’ processes.
Hands-on leak detection exercises and engaging physics experiments conclude the training programme, providing strong practical relevance and real-world application.

Add-on Cryogenics
Training Content:
- Design of cryogenic pumps, helium compressors and accessories
- Error analysis
- Use of maintenance accessories
- Decontamination (helium cycle)
- Correct helium filling
- Replacement of adsorbers in the compressor
- Calculation of inlet pressure and saturation point
- Practical work on the cryosystem
Add-on:
On request, we can include ‘Cryogenics’ as an add-on into the training course. This extension offers the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge and practical insights into the field of cryogenics.
